Joggler - O2/OpenPeak
The O2/OpenPeak Joggler was a small free standing, low power, touch screen device, sold under the O2 banner back around 2009 for a year or so, with an embedded OS.
It is however possible to run a wide variety of systems on it by utilising its USB port and it has been widely customised. There are several good Linux distros for it - We used one based on Xubuntu by Jools Wills.
To this base distribution I added the packages needed to provide MisterHouse proxy servers to allow them to announce messages and callers etc. around the house, control MisterHouse objects, play media etc.. We ran 6 of them mostly acquired through eBay.
Rather than the popular USB Memory stick option these run the customised OS through small SSDs for greater longevity/reliability.
